urges FG To Partner With Israel To End Boko Haram Insurgency

LAGOS – As the world marked the 75th anniversary of the Holocaust on Monday, a non-governmental orgnaisation (NGO), Istandwithisrael International Organisation (IIO),0has called on the Nigerian government to partner with Israel to flush out the Boko Haram.

In a media chat and seminar to mark the 75 anniversary of Holocaust in Lagos on Monday, Pastor Rex Ajenifuja, Executive Director, Istandwithisrael International Organisation, maintained that the Israeli government had been willing and ready to assist Nigeria in dealing devastating blow on the Boko Haram terrorists if it was properly approached.

He recalled that during the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration, the Boko Haram insurgents were brought to check through the assistance of Israel, but lamented that the President Muhammadu Buhari’s government could not capitalise on the already existing arrangement to push the issue forward for greater success in the war against the insurgents, hence it festered.

Ajenifuja stated: “The Israelis again offered to help us, but the current administration refused. If Boko Haram knows that Israel has been involved in the war against it, that will be the end of the insurgency because they know what Israel can do.

“With the number of Nigerian Christians going on pilgrimage to Israel and that country’s relationship with the Christian bodies in the country, Israel will be happy to collaborate with Nigeria to deal a devastating blow to Boko Haram.”
