Because of his stomach cancer, the technology was not very advanced at the time, and he was very interested in the technology of frozen resurrection, so he asked scientists to freeze him. It was frozen on January 19, 1967, when he died of stomach cancer in a California hospital.
Originally in 2017, Bedford was supposed to be defrosted that year. But at the time, the medical technology could not bring him back to life as the predecessors thought, so he had to stay in the freezer. But different people have different opinions.
